Each new project presents new
challenges that are opportunities for Armistead to meet your
expectations through innovation, skill and creativity. Our highly
skilled, professionally trained staff – from the home office to the
field – is prepared for any project challenge.
Challenge #1 TIME
Pre-project planning and design, in-house CAD, purchasing, critical
path-scheduling and pre-fabrication are essential components of
every project. We know how to give your project the right start, and
then keep it moving in the right direction.
Challenge #2 COST
Because tools and shop inventory are essential to every job, two
strategic locations are completely stocked with the latest trade
tools and basic materials so we can supply our job sites quickly and
efficiently. Our UA pre-fabrication capabilities are just one way we
stay on course and on schedule. An in-house fabrication shop can
reduce on-site labor costs by as much as 60% or more. The ability to
prefabricate, as well as preplan the job, will add to a contractor’s
overall performance and end results to their customers. Material
handling is reduced due to proper equipment, and then in the work
field, labor production is notably higher. Finally, digitalized
estimation, accounting and project management software enable us to
track projects as they run, alerting us to any potential overrun.
Challenge #3 QUALITY
Quality is the Hallmark of Armistead Mechanical, Inc. We never
sacrifice quality for price. Prefabrication and QA/QC means quality
equipment and testing. Testing and quality assurance are performed
as a part of production. Medical gas piping to supply oxygen,
nitrogen and other gases is a vital part of the systems in hospital
construction. Armistead Mechanical, Inc. is proud to be providing
this quality work for some of the most prestigious medical and
pharmaceutical companies in the world.
Challenge
#4 SAFETY
We are committed to training and education for every member of our
team. Every journeyman goes through five years of the UA
apprenticeship training program before moving through other levels
of certifications based on experience, continued training, and
skill. Field and management personnel participate in our continuing
in-house training as well as MCAA rigorous training conferences and
seminars.
Management and field are required to have mandatory 10-Hour OSHA
Certification. Armistead promotes continued safety training, and is
the recipient of several safety awards.
Challenge #5 LABOR
Armistead Mechanical, Inc. is proud to be affiliated with the finest
Local Unions in the region to supply the manpower and craftsmanship
required to meet the demands and quality work requirements of our
projects. This solid partnership with our labor counterparts is one
of the keys to our success. Their commitment to training, testing,
certification and safety are the insurance we need to move ahead
with confidence on each job with efficiency and productivity.
Armistead Mechanical, Inc. is signatory to many UA National
Agreements that enable us to provide services anywhere in the USA
and Canada.
Challenge #6 SERVICE
Incorporated in 1989, AMI Services, Inc. is the “service arm” of
Armistead Mechanical, Inc. Originally founded to assist the business
with its numerous HVAC projects, AMI Service, Inc. has grown into a
multi-million dollar company servicing the tri-state area. Working
hand in hand Armistead and AMI have forged a solid front in
providing impeccable, immediate service, repair and maintenance for
customers.
Challenge #7 INVENTORY & EQUIPMENT
Because the right tools and shop inventory are essential to every
project, Armistead maintains more than 35,000 square feet of shop
between our two locations. Both shops are completely stocked with
the latest trade tools and basic materials so we can supply our job
sites quickly and efficiently. Our Purchasing division is capable of
acting quickly and cost-effectively to meet project needs for
equipment and material.
Challenge #8 COMMUNICATION
From the top down, Armistead Mechanical, Inc. puts into place a
chain of communication that ensures every team member, each person
in the field, and management are in touch and informed about your
project. Regular project management meetings, field supervisors, and
QA/QC managers are working together to monitor your projects.
