Armistead Mechanical Receives Two AwardsRecognizing Exemplary Safety Record
Waldwick, NJ – Armistead Mechanical, Inc., a provider of mechanical construction, engineering and contracting services throughout the New Jersey/New York area, has received two awards recognizing the company’s outstanding safety record.
At a ceremony on April 10, Armistead Mechanical received a Gold Safety Award from the Albany-based Northeastern Subcontractors Association (NESCA), a non-profit trade association representing over 520 eastern New York subcontractors, specialty contractors and material suppliers. The award was accepted by Joe Jerkowski, Armistead Mechanical’s VP of Operations, as well as Safety Manager Chris Byrne.
Armistead Mechanical also was granted the prestigious Governor’s Award for Continued Excellence from the New Jersey Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Awards Program. The Governor’s Award recognizes companies for achievement in preventing occupational injuries during the previous calendar year. The Governor’s Award connotes consistency as well as accomplishment: it was granted to Armistead Mechanical for having no work-related lost time from injury or illness for more than five consecutive years. This is the sixth straight year Armistead has participated in the program.
“Our recognitions from the NESCA and the Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Awards Program shows our customers that Armistead Mechanical is committed to the prevention of workplace injury and illness and the well-being of our employees,” said Kevin Armistead, Chief Operating Officer of Armistead Mechanical. “Our workers report to their job sites each day with the full confidence that their safety is being looked after, and that makes them more confident, capable professionals to the benefit of our customers.”
