PreconstructionSIMPLY HIGHER STANDARDS
Pre-planning is an essential component to every project at Armistead Mechanical. We follow each project from conception to completion, one stage at a time. Our professionally trained estimating and project management teams are capable of meeting any project challenge and are committed to bringing projects in on-time and within budget. Our preconstruction services are key discussion points at every project “kick off meeting” and every phase of the project is preplanned and scheduled prior to its implementation in the field.
The design/build process provides our customers with an expedited solution to a faster project turnaround. We pinpoint the criteria for your project first. Then we custom-develop a mechanical system for you from cost estimate through performance parameters and optional operating cost analysis. Our in-house team of virtual design specialists are capable of meeting various levels of layout and design. Learn more about our VDC capabilities.
Our state-of-the-art computerized estimating department produces precise, detailed proposals in an expeditious manner. On-screen estimating contributes to a timely turnaround for proposals. A comprehensive database of materials, pricing and labor provides quick access to information, speeding up the estimating process. And to ensure nothing has been overlooked, each and every estimate is reviewed by a team of experienced estimators.
CRITICAL PATH SCHEDULING
Armistead uses the critical path method (CPM) for scheduling to match the resources of equipment, materials and labor with project work tasks over time. Critical path scheduling eliminates production holdups, facilitates the timely procurement of necessary materials and insures projects are completed on time. We utilize Primavera and MS Project software.
Armistead maintains excellent working relationships with our vendor and subcontractor partners to ensure project schedules and engineer specifications are met within budget and schedule. Our Purchasing Department works closely with the Estimating and Project Management teams to pre-purchase material and equipment in order to meet tight deadlines. Because tools and shop inventory are essential to every project, Armistead Mechanical boasts more than 40,000 square feet of shop and fabrication space. Our shops are stocked with the latest state-of-the-art tools, equipment, materials and inventory to support our jobsites quickly and efficiently.
