Waldwick, NJ — Armistead Mechanical, Inc., a provider of mechanical construction, engineering and contracting services throughout the New Jersey/New York area, will be expanding into approximately 10,000 square feet of additional industrial space at 6 William Demarest Place, across the street from its present headquarters on Hopper Avenue in Waldwick, New Jersey.

The new space will primarily be occupied by the company’s service arm, Armistead Mechanical, Inc. Services, which provides complementary HVAC service and maintenance work for industrial and commercial clients throughout New York and New Jersey. Its staff is trained to work on a wide variety of systems and equipment including chillers, packaged roof-top units, furnaces, boilers, refrigeration systems, split systems, cooling towers, and building automation and controls.

In business for nearly 100 years, Armistead Mechanical is among the largest employers of service technicians, plumbers and pipefitters in New Jersey and the New York Hudson Valley region. The new location offers a convenient, flexible opportunity for expansion, and allows the company to further strengthen its position as a key figure in Waldwick’s business community and in the region’s mechanical contracting industry. The property includes 3,500 square feet of office space, plus a tailgate and drive-in loading dock.

Future plans include a retrofit and expansion of Armistead’s existing pipe fabrication shop as well as updating the office environment at the company’s Hopper Avenue location.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to expand so close to home,” said Kevin Armistead, Chief Operating Officer of Armistead Mechanical. “Armistead Mechanical’s growth is evidence that we continue to provide the highest level of skill in the installation and service of process piping and mechanical systems, HVAC, utility piping, lab and medical gases and high purity orbital welding.”
