Veteran mechanical engineer and operations leader brings decades of leadership to regional subcontractor association.

Waldwick, NJ – Armistead Mechanical, Inc., a leading provider of mechanical construction, engineering and contracting services throughout the New Jersey/New York area, announced that Joseph Jerkowski, P.E., Chief Operations Officer, has been elected President of the Northeastern Subcontractors Association (NESCA) for the 2025-2026 term. His term will begin on July 1, 2025.

With over 35 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry, Mr. Jerkowski brings deep technical knowledge and leadership to this prestigious role. A graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Jerkowski has built a distinguished career in design and construction management across the plumbing, HVAC, and process piping sectors. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New York and holds master plumber and HVAC licenses in both Rockland and Putnam Counties in New York.

Mr. Jerkowski has been an active member of NESCA since 2007 and has served on its Board of Directors since 2018. His long-standing commitment to advancing the mechanical construction industry and fostering collaboration among subcontractors makes him an ideal leader to guide NESCA into the future. He will succeed Bryan Berry of Color Code Painting, Inc., who served as president during the 2023–2025 term.
